“I regularly escape to the old growth cedar forest near my home as a source for inspiration and rejuvenation.  Wintertime is especially unique because snowshoes enable one to wander off the beaten path in search of new curiosities.

Time is well spent revelling in the aged beauty of these gentle giants wrapped in their snowy white skirts.  I pause and circle each elder admiring their magnificent size and tri coloured bark interwoven with gnarly branches.” – Melanie MacVoy
