About The Piece

‘Ancient Roots’ is a piece by Dominik Modlinski created in 2023 based on Vancouver Island. This painting is based on a hike to a remote alpine area of Triple Peak in the central Vancouver Island. This awe-inspiring and challenging trek led Dominik alongside cascading waterfalls, offering breathtaking vistas of mist-covered valleys below. The early Autumn season painted the landscape with vibrant hues, and ancient roots clung to the rocks beneath.
