“Muninn” is a graphite illustration by Stuart Arnett created in 2024. These pieces are professionally framed in black wood, artist plex-glass and each has an original viking drawing on the matt. Huginn has a viking ship and Muninn has a war axe. Both are done completely in graphite ranging through 2H to 6B grades and are on 19” x 13” Moab 190 lb entrada rag natural paper.

‘Huginn’ and ‘Muninn’ were completed for my love of the Viking Lore and history of their battles throughout England. Odin, the All Father rules over Valhalla where all vikings wish to go after death. It is said that Odin had with him two ravens, Huginn representing ‘memory’ and Muninn who represents ‘thought’. They would go out and explore the world and report back to Odin what they saw and heard.
