About The Piece
“Robson Back Glacier” also know as “Slow Moving Giant” is an acrylic painting by Marie-Christine Claveau created in 2025 inspired by the artists hike into Robson Provincial Park with several artists in the fall.
“Slow Moving Giant is my interpretation of Robson Glacier at Robson Lake (not Berg Lake). I painted a plein-air panel while on site. We could hear the glacier moving and caving. I was so inspired! On the walk down from Berg Lake, I could visualize a few compositions from that magical place. On the drive home, I kept mentally painting the glacier. So it’s no surprise that I started right away. ” – Marie-Christine Claveau
