Nicola McGarry is a multidisciplinary artist based in Revelstoke, British Columbia, whose work bridges the natural world and human experience with a raw and expressive energy. Drawing deeply from her surroundings both the rugged landscapes of the Columbia Mountains and the quiet, introspective moments they inspire McGarry’s practice explores themes of connection, transformation, and the intersection of nature and identity.

Working across a variety of mediums, including painting, digital, felting and mixed media, McGarry’s art is a reflection of her personal journey and her relationship with the environment around her. Her visual language is characterized by vibrant colour, dynamic texture, and an intuitive process that allows the work to evolve organically. Whether through sweeping abstract landscapes or intimate, figurative representations, McGarry’s pieces evoke a sense of movement and life, capturing fleeting moments and emotions that might otherwise go unnoticed.
